We can feel the onset of Fall with days and evenings getting gently colder. To resist the morning chill, I wore a long sleeve top paired with an asymmetrical skirt. I spotted those Zara sandals some time ago while window-shopping in town. I went for a minimalist look with basic colors and timeless pieces. Talking about being timeless, let me introduce you to the brand “T’as pas l’heure?” (an odd French way of asking “What’s the time?”). The young designer-artist Laure Gaury construct elaborate jewelry pieces with gold or silver-plated used watch parts. Each worn watch part has a “personal” history and Laure conveys the notion of timelessness through their rebirth in another form. It is also an interesting concept that what are normally hidden from view (in a watch) are now the centerpiece. In the pictures, you can see two of her simpler bracelets. I will talk more about Laure’s work in a later post.
