I am now enjoying my holidays to the fullest though I must also admit I am in a lazy mood. That goes for my outfits too. I am in the mood for casual clothes but perked with a little personal touch. That’s why I go for special pieces with something distinctive such as an unusual shape. I wore my “Whop” sweatshirt over a white asymmetrical skirt and color-matching shoes. When a clothes or accessory is rather classy, you can subdue or “cut” it with something really casual (instead of complementing it over with other classy pieces to create an over-the-top look). The inverse is also true. For example, I wear my casual sweatshirt here with a swanky necklace. There are no hard and fast rules, and this thesis-antithesis idea does not apply to everything. The best advice is still to try it out and see if it works. This is how I go about dressing up when I want to be “casual with style”.
