Last Thursday, I went to Geneva with my friend Marine to go Christmas shopping. It was already dark when we arrived at 5pm. So what you see are our first trials of night photo shoots with Christmas and boutique illuminations for lighting.
I went to see Fabienne, the designer of Avinas Jewelry. She welcomed us for a special Christmas sale at pop-up store “The Square”. We were invited to enjoy a drink with homemade cupcakes as we pored over her creations. Her designs are refined and feminine with several sophisticated pieces suited for special occasions. My “coup de coeur” was for the Jena Ring that comes in plated rose, silver and yellow gold. To my great despair she did not have any left of my finger size.
Moving on to my outfit, I had the Isabel Marant for H&M embroidered top under a vintage coat. For a twist of originality, I put my H&M hat on and a beautiful bangle from the Colombian jewelry designer, Mercedes Salazar. Every piece of her creations is handmade and thus unique.
I complemented the colors of the bracelet with my “nails-à-porter” by L’Oréal. I received them a few weeks ago and thought it was a good time to test them. The box comes with two sets of flexnails of different sizes plus adhesive tabs. To apply them, you simply choose the flexnail that best fits each natural nail, note its number and find the adhesive tab that corresponds to that number. You position the flexnail and press firmly for it to set. For the finishing touch, you file them to the length you desire. And voila! A quick manicure that should stay for a week.
