Urban Decay Launch in Switzerland

People around me praise the Urban Decay makeup. Well, what better way to find out what the hype is about than to try it out for yourself. I was super excited when the brand invited me a few days ago to their Swiss launch presentation in a splendid bar with a view of Zurich’s trendy industrial neighborhood. The warm rays of sunset filtering into the room gave the gathering a magical atmosphere. The presentation recalled the story of how Chief Creative Officer Wende Zomnir with partners David Soward and Tim Warner started Urban Decay in 1996 with a few lip and nail products. We learned about the evolution of makeup since the mid-90’s and how the inspiration for their first makeups came from the seedier facets of urban landscape. Urban Decay is now a big name in the cosmetics industry.
After the presentation, we were invited to discover the products and even get our makeup done by professionals. David, the makeup artist who took care of me, worked Zodiac eyeshadow to a smokey eye effect. He finished the look with a fine line over the lashes. I was seduced by the products’ texture, colors and lasting power. I was particularly impressed by the fidelity of the eyeshadow colors. Applied on the skin, they turn out exactly as you would expect. Wende Zomnir’s attention to detail probably also had a lot to do with this. And believe me, the makeup was put to the test as we partied all night after the event. My makeup held up and my eyes looked just as impressive when I got home.
I found in Urban Decay the essentials for one’s makeup needs. As I said earlier, nothing beats testing it for yourself. Good news, you can now find Urban Decay at Manor.ch and in Manor Zürich. Go girl, go…
