I have always intended to share my various interests through Blaastyle, though currently it has mostly been about fashion and beauty. Occasionally I bubble over to lifestyle as it is such a natural extension to how we look (or vice versa in that our lifestyle is also reflected by how we look). On that note, let me introduce you to “Blaast Places” where I will share the places I love to go to in my hometown and also places I discover in my travel.
I kick off with a post about the Café des Avenues in Lausanne. One of our girlie rituals includes constantly scouting for new restaurants to hang out. And we found this place. As you step in, you are immediately enveloped by a cozy atmosphere brought on by the wooden furniture and warm colors. Besides the main dining room, there is a chill-out area with big sofas. You will need more than a couple of visits to try out their entire beverage menu. More critically, the food is also delightful. I still remember the first dish I tried there in the form of a super fresh and tasty coriander salmon tartare. If you are in the Lausanne area, I recommend you go try out the Café des Avenues for a meal or just even for a drink.
As outfit of the day, I went for a simple look – black high waist pants, crop knit, gray coat and tote bag. For that little edge, I wore high heels and a Twiggy-inspired makeup.
