My first day at the New York Fashion Week was an eye-opener. The ruckus began in the streets, with streetstyle photographers dashing about to catch the best outfits. The famous Sartorialist was snapping Leandra Medine’s (aka. Man Reppeler) oversized green pants and Bryan Boy’s shearling coat. With show times so closely scheduled, attendees would need to literally run from one show to the next. I started my run for the Coach Fall-Winter 2015-16 show near the Meatpacking district. You could sense the intense excitement (and impatience) the moment you walked into the event room. Coach nailed it. For the artistic director Stuart Vevers, the must-haves for next winter are leather and fur, all designed to a strong rock vibe. Flats are traded for warm killer boots fit for everyday city wear. Alaska has come to New York!
