Shades of Black

As the name warned us, The Diesel Black Gold FW2015 collection wasn’t about exuberant colors. With an extravaganza of shades of black. Andreas Melbostad, showed off his mastery of cuts. In one showpiece, he mixed a crop jacket with a chunky knit worn on a flippy mini. Going further, he mixed knit, lace, embroidery, leather and subtly introduced men’s style for women. He also introduced off the wall details such as marking the waist line with parachute straps or replacing spikes with ring-shape studs. In a similar mood, I went for a total H&M look with a contrasting mix of textures and cuts, but in shades of gray (…less than fifty) – flared trousers, a mini sixties-style jacket, an oversized coat, my DIY veiled beanie and my most practical bag. We shot the outfit at two location, in front of the show held in the financial district and in the streets. I also included two pictures of Alison, and I as we were walking out.
