To show off the minimalist edge of this outfit, we took a break from our usual locations. The garden awakening to the morning light of spring created an enchanting setting. It was still too cold to be wandering about with only this H&M silk deep-V neck dress. So I was wrapped in my versatile faux-fur which could be worn as a vest or coat. I was inspired by Rumi Neely from www.fashiontoast.com, a US-based Japanese fashion blogger. She is known for her achingly cool minimalist and edgy style – she hardly wears any color, pattern or layer. We all find it harder to subtract than to add. As the novelist (of “The Little Prince”) Antoine de Saint-Exupéry once wrote, “Perfection is attained, not when there is nothing more to add, but when there is nothing left to remove”.
