Over the years, we have gotten used to skinny and slim bottoms. Now, large- or straight-cut have taken over the store shelves. That is a potential problem for those of us who do not happen to own a pair of long endless legs. I have shown you how culottes can actually be more easily styled than one imagines. We can work a similar magic on legs that are wide in its entire length. Here are my two little tricks.
Choose the right length according to your shoes – Wide leg pants look nice when the shoe shape can only be guessed at but not when you can see the ankle. In other words, do not wear heels with pants that are just nice for flats.
Highlight the waist-line – Use a belt to mark the separation between top and bottom, or contrast the colors, like I do here. If you are gifted with a slim waist, you may just ignore this advice.
Here’s a styling idea that may convince you to get wide legs. I tucked into my COS model, a white turtleneck top, put over Longchamp SS16 tri-color leather jacket, and matched my accessories to the clothing shades.
