Simple Is The Key

We are often tempted to buy an extravagant and colorful item just because it is trendy. I often fall into this trap and then notice how I tire of flamboyant pieces rather quickly. So the wiser thing to do is to invest in more “serious” pieces. This usually also means staying simple. No ground-breaking advice here – black, white, gray, or any neutral tone will never go out of fashion. Why not go for shade options? Jeans always look good with a top. Pick the cut and details that are trendy but avoid anything overdone – a “sophisticated” piece doesn’t necessarily make your overall look more stylish.
Here’s how I do simple with an edge: gray high-waist ripped jeans, black long sleeve top with a lace-up cleavage (available at SheIn:, oversized coat, black flats, and Longchamp tri-color bag. With these pieces, you do not even need to think about how to style them. They will simply come together wonderfully.

I love how you show that simple does not have to mean boring. People usually turn away from items that don't seem to be trending, because they don't want to seem behind on what is considered "popular" at the time. However, fashion and style is however you interpret it. Take something simple and make it your own. Love what you did here!!

Hey there, cool outfit! I especially like your bag, but all in all, you're right, the key to a great look often is to stay simple!
