Ever wonder why postcard pictures of a winter landscape show snowy mountains but rarely a snowed-in town? In part, that’s because snow in town is more annoying than charming. Traffic comes to a standstill and you slip in your slick city shoes. Yet, I love this magical moment when the town is blanketed in white! We all irresistibly become kids again – throwing snowballs and making snowmen! We city girls have another a fun challenge – how to style winter outfits that are practical yet look fashionably urban.
One big winter trend is definitely the colorful faux-fur coat. Put it over a candy blue (a pantone color highlight for 2016) top and slip into your skinny jeans (very 2014 but functional). Pick a pair of boots of the latest design – mine is a leather lace-up, again with faux-fur details. As for the bag, it is a burgundy Roger Vivier bag. It looks very vintage but is actually from the latest collection!
I was thrilled with the snowy scenery for the photo shoot and my winter outfit kept me wonderfully dry in style.
ps: we know how to handle you Jonas, aka. Snowzilla.
