Recently I felt like I was playing in the television series 24. Barely back from a 24-hour trip to Milan, I had to get up at 3 am the next day for another 24-hour trip to Berlin. This time I was invited by bonprix, the online fashion retail store.
On arrival, I headed straight to my hotel room for a little beauty rest, to get ready for the long day ahead – a visit to the atelier of Marcell von Berlin, a photoshoot with the pieces of its collaboration collection with bonprix, and dinner at the VOLT restaurant.
Marcell von Berlin is known for its couture dresses that appeared only on catwalks and red carpets. A few seasons ago, they introduced a ready-to-wear line with original and feminine designs. We went to visit the atelier (which also serves as office and showroom). We had a glimpse at the work in progress: sketches, moodboards and fabrics. I had an immediate crush on the yellow leather bomber in its Fall-Winter collection.
We later went to a studio to have a closer look at the “Marcell von Berlin for bonprix” collaboration pieces and even to do a shoot with them. On the pictures, I wear a YES bomber jacket and sweater-dress. How do you find them for a casual look? I also had fun creating a summerish flatlay with other goodies available in the online store.
Never been to Berlin? Don’t wait any longer – come visit this fashion hotspot with its distinctive progressive vibe.
