Story of A Kimono

This should sound familiar to you.  You have a clear idea of what you want, then search the internet and hunt through stores, yet find nothing.  Happily, it didn’t happen this way when I was obsessing over a kimono, ideally in the shape of a maxi-length coat.  While heading for a sushi lunch in Berlin, I noticed this small cute store.  I entered and in no time spotted this black velvet kimono.  It was not what I had in mind, but so much better.  It’s Japanese handmade, unbranded and Vintage.  It is all that l what I love – a clothing with a story.

I belt the kimono and match the material with a black velvet Balmain x H&M pants. As usual, I like to add a small hint of color, this time with an Orange Gucci bag.  I pull my hair into a tidy half-bun, keep a very simple makeup with only mascara and deep red lipstick. Doesn’t this Asian-inspired look play on my half-Chinese origin…
