I have regularly shared ideas on how to style a trendy piece with old ones you already own. Here for example are three items you now seem to see everywhere.
The bell sleeves – Certain trends seem to come back again and again, like the military style or trench coat. However, the bell sleeve is one design I haven’t seen in a while. It is like the top version of the bell bottom and not meant to be practical (try cooking with it) but I love it.
The choker necklace – I was fascinated with choker necklaces since I was ten. The coolest design I owned then was a plastic one shaped in a spiral with rainbow colors. Now I have upgraded to chicer black shades and velvet material. There are many other styles available online. I got mine from the Nude Concept store on Rue de Bourg in Lausanne.
Glitter sneakers – The more they glitter, the better. I had a crush on these Superga that also come in copper color.
I style them with black skinny jeans, new Proenza Schouler PS11 from myprivateboutique.ch and fluid trench coat. I add another fine golden necklace I received in the April edition of “The Box“. (The Box is a concept where you can receive each month an exclusive goodies only from Swiss designers). Isn’t it fun to style the new with the old to create a different look? It is like the remake of an old song to a new musical beat – instantly recognizable yet different.
