Beauty Talk #2: Pep Start !

Last Wednesday’s Beauty Talk was about my favorite fragrances.  This week’s focus is on a range of beauty care products that are supposed to help you get-up-and-go – Clinique’s appropriately named “Pep-Start” line.  It has 5 products and I recently tested the two moisturizers and the 2-in-1 exfoliating cleanser.  I would say they did work their “pep up” magic on me…

Skin type: combination skin, sensitive with oily T-zone

We all know how important it is to protect ourselves from dryness and the harsh sunlight. However, most moisturizers with sun protection tend to be rich and oily. They eventually clog my skin to cause acne. I found Hydrorush SPF 20 to be one of the exceptions. Apply a thin layer every morning before the makeup.

When sun exposure is unlikely, I put on Hydroblur for its light texture and the fact it is scentless. Hydroblur not only blurs out flaws, but also seems to do a good job like Hydrorush of controlling sebum levels.

For a healthy complexion, add the 2-in-1 exfoliating cleanser in your quick-and-easy beauty routine of cleaning your face.  The product removes both pollutants and dead skin to unobstruct pores and improve the subsequent penetration of active treatment ingredients.  Pimple-prone skins will love its soft texture that doesn’t strip or dry out the skin.
