After testing many facial skin care products this year, here is a selection of my favorites suited to my skin type (mixed with oily T-zone, also sensitive and acne-prone).
Best Of Facial Skin Care
Roger&Gallet launched the “Aura Mirabilis” line this year. I use the “Beauty Vinegar“ as my staple toner every morning. It has effectively smoothened leftover pimple marks and even brightened my overall complexion. I use “Double Extract” in the evening to rehydrate my skin with a soft soothing moisturizing treatment.
Aesop’s Parsley Seed Hydrating Cream has been amazing at keeping my skin hydrated this winter. Because of its rich texture, I recommend it for night use. Wearing it during day may clog the pores and contribute to sebum production.
A-Derma SPF moisturizer is one of few creams with UV protection that doesn’t make my skin oily. I have been using it all summer.
My best discovery of the year has to be La Roche-Posay’s Effaclar Duo tinted as my foundation. It clears the pores to allow my skin to breath and works on my redness, pimples and marks like no other treatment.
I have already sung praises a couple of times for Shiseido IBUKI mask (read review here). Let me also tell you about the Glam Glow Gravitymud Firming Treatment and Peter Thomas Roth Irish Moor Mud Purifying Black masks (available at Sephora) that I use alternately each week. They are multi-purpose but I mostly use it to nourish my skin when it feels stressed out or to get rid of blackheads or pimples.
Also from the Ibuki line of Shiseido is the matifying and hydrating “Quick Fix Mist” spray that I carry in my bag. It is handy to freshen up, or to use after touching up makeups during the day.
Estée Lauder New Dimension lipstick has been helping me out this winter to prevent my lips from cracking.
I close this list with the Clinique Pep-Start 2-in-1 exfoliating cleanser which I have shown previously. I recommend you test it out – who knows, it may become one of your 2017 favorites.
