I shot this OOTD look at an offbeat location. It is the rooftop of People’s Park Complex, an iconic 60’s-style building in the heart of Chinatown. To access the rooftop, you take the elevator at entrance of the shopping mall to the 6th floor and then climb the stairs. As backdrop, you have either… Read More »

For many of us, September kicks off a new work or school year. So, how about a fresh start with a new feel-good outfit? One that is simple, casual and summerish (winter is still not quite here yet, and as for tropical Singapore…). Funny to think that jumpsuits were originally designed for sky jumps… Read More »

Finding My Rhythm…

It’s been a bit more than a month since I arrived in Singapore.  Some of you still wonder what I am doing over here.  In my thirst to discover new places, I always wanted to explore and learn more about business in this part of the world.   How has it been so far?… Read More »

The Opposite of Layering?

Though my mantra is “less is more”, I am more comfortable and better at layering.  I find it difficult to style summer outfits.  Now I am in a good place to draw inspiration from the streets of tropical Singapore.   I notice that some women here mix and match colorful prints and materials.  Others go… Read More »

Clinique invited me to celebrate the launch of their new line, PEP Start. The exclusive presentation with cocktails and DJ took place at Kaufleuten Festsaal in Zurich.  For the occasion, I wore a smart-chic outfit matching dressed-up adidas jog pants with a material blazer, a cami top in grey-silk, and high heels.  I carried my Proenza Schouler bag from MyPrivateBoutique.com.  Lately,… Read More »

Milanese Inspirations

I was inspired by Milan style for this outfit. I notice the Milanese woman expressing their femininity in two almost opposing ways.  One goes for glamorous attire with joyful colors and patterns – à la Dolce & Gabanna.  The other is about dark colors, structured cuts, classic and chic – à la Armani.  I combined both styles with a navy-patterned mini dress with lace details… Read More »

I wear prescription glasses e v e r y d a y or I can’t function without them. Strangely, I do not see them as fashion accessories.  That’s why you will hardly ever see me wearing them on pictures (the last time in 2014).  On the hand, I am happy to feature eye glasses (without correction lenses). … Read More »

Learn from the masters.  I am referring here to master makeup artist Paulo Almedia whom I met at a recent MAC cosmetics event in Zurich.  Paulo participates in fashion shows around the world and has a huge influence on makeup trends. A small group of us (including other makeup artists) were given a lesson of the trends, and… Read More »

How to Wear Stripes

Stripes create optical effects and are like a double-edged sword.  They can be embellishing or unflattering depending on how you wear them. So what are the dos and don’ts? FR Les rayures donnent un double effet d’optique. Elles peuvent être à la fois flatteuse ou à l’opposé ne pas du tout mettre en valuer… Read More »

I have talked about Ouchy, the lakeside neighborhood I really like in my hometown Lausanne. The entertaining Quartier du Flon is another favorite. Once an abandoned industrial site, it is now teeming with restaurants, bars, cafés (I have posted about Mango Deck in Blaast Places), a cinema complex and shops. To show you a… Read More »
