Casual Junkie

Fashion month was all about fancy outfits but that’s over now. For daily wear, casual is the go-to style. But what is really casual? Is it not just a case of swapping heels for sneakers, and shirts for sweaters? In my view, a casual look is not about being indifferent. I know it is paradoxical that we actually “try” to achieve a laid back look. I still fancy mixing and matching, and care just as much about details. I pick practical items which also give off strong style vibes. Here, for example, I attempt to create a junkie look with a La Halle buttoned-up white shirt, H&M jeans that I rolled-up, a faux-leather biker jacket, white Adidas sneakers, Rebecca Minkoff backpack and Ray-Ban sunglasses. The jeans are like leggings that let me move about as I wish, the backpack frees up my hands, and the sneakers take away worries about blisters. Irrespective of the look, I suppose casual for me is finally about the feeling of comfort and liberty.
Inès and I recently decided to stop scouting for new locations for shoots but to create new perspectives in familiar places. This time, we went back to Vidy near the skate park. Though the noon lighting was rather bright, we were happy with the results! If you are into photography, give us your tips and suggestions for our future shoots.
