Beauty and The Little Black Dress

A little black dress is often described as timeless, polyvalent and feminine. These words can’t be more true for Guerlain’s new beauty line launched on February 1st. For the occasion, I collaborated with the brand to show you the range of colors and different facets of the lipsticks and nail polishes!
For its new line, Guerlain thinks of the active modern woman who is on the move, from early morning to the late evening. Makeup is one of her secrets to looking seductive for this long stretch of time. The lipstick is the “killer app” in her purse to instantly exude femininity and sexiness. She can add a little color anytime and vary its intensify according her whims. If hands are the business card of a person, then nails are the first things we read – what a delight if they are well-manicured and colored.
Here are the 4 ways I interpret this modern woman through Guerlain’s Little Black Dress collection.

On weekends, I like to stay natural. So I just “touch up” with light pink glossy lips and beige nails.

Now and then, the “Parisienne” slumbering in me awakes. I then put on my denims, and go for the requisite “la marinière”, a blazer, and pointy heels (for the trendy touch). And, of course, red lips and nails.
A girly make-up can be fun: vivid pink lips and nails, babydoll eye-look. But I will contrast it with my outfit – a black perfecto, white shirt and blue denims.

Finally, for a little sophistication in the evening, I slip into my little black dress, paint my lips red, darken my eyes with a smoky look, and match them with a dark nail polish.

You see how a dress can inspire your beauty make-up!
